Widening Participation

The DRHEA has agreed new arrangements for the Widening Participation (WP) strand of activity.
Following a presentation and review of the activities, achievements and the challenges faced, a proposal to restructure the Strand was agreed by the DRHEA Board. The restructured Strand integrates the three sub-strands of activity, i.e. Higher Learning Network, Community-Based Learning Programmes, and Literacy and Language Strategies. The Board was very appreciative of the work done and underlined its commitment to WP activity. The Board also requested that Colleges of Education be invited to participate and join the original eight Higher Education Institutions.
